University of Michigan AI Business Hackathon

I participated in the University of Michigan AI Business Hackathon, a collaboration between Ross School of Business and College of Engineering. Our team (Yuqi Sun, Wonsik Jung, Chhavi Jain, and Deepti Mathur) developed AlignAI, an AI-powered EdTech and wellness personal assistant that helps students manage their energy, not just their time.
AlignAI is designed to prevent student burnout by using cognitive weight tagging to assess the mental load of each task, protecting wellness activities as non-negotiable priorities, and proactively creating buffer time for recovery. Unlike traditional calendars that optimize for productivity, AlignAI optimizes for sustainable success by aligning your day with your wellbeing.

TartanHacks 2026 at Carnegie Mellon
February 6-7, 2026
I participated in TartanHacks 2026 at Carnegie Mellon University and developed Ledgerly with Jonathan, Adil, and James. Ledgerly is an all-in-one real-time financial planning and budgeting platform. We deliver proactive AI-powered insights that help users avoid financial problems before they happen. Instead of reacting to overdrafts or missed payments, the system forecasts risk and recommends actions early.
